All-Seeing F-Tank: 2020 NFL Futures Bets
By F-Tank
It feels like yesterday I was walking to Grand Central Station after watching the Kansas City Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV (while covering the spread easily in the process). The return of football is here and money can’t make itself, right? I can already smell the air outside once Sunday rolls around. This year has been pretty shitty (shoutout OBJ), but thankfully by the graces of all that is good, football is BACK, BACK, BACK, BACK, BACK!

Below you’ll see my futures bets for the 2020 NFL season. (Future odds via Action247.ag Hashtag Not a sponsor).
What is a Futures bet?
A future bet is simple. You are placing a bet now and the outcome will take place in the future. I was never really that big into futures until this year, so this is my first official year betting NFL futures. Congrats to me man wow what an honor. Anyway let's get right to it!

Win Totals
Jets Over 7 Wins: +175
Look, I would not blame you for fading this pick, but why not just double down on my misery right? (Or in my case, hopeful happiness). I ended up getting the Jets at Over 6.5 wins. I seriously believe that Sam Darnold takes a huge step this year leading the offense. Fixing the offensive line, finding more weapons, and addressing the secondary were all priorities that were checked off the To-Do list in the offseason. Are we talking playoffs? Maybe. But do I think we can see the Jets go 9-7 and be in the ‘In The Hunt’ graphic late in the year? Absolutely.
Cardinals Over 8.5 Wins: +140 (Alternate line)
Vegas has set the official win total at 7.5 for Arizona so this bet is an alternate line pick. With the addition of Deandre Hopkins and emergence of Kenyan Drake, Kyler Murray and the Cardinals offense are poised for a massive year. This is my sleeper team on the year, along with many other people who feel the same way. This team has potential to reach double digit wins and they added LB Isaiah Simmons through the draft to play alongside DPOY candidate Chandler Jones. Get your popcorn ready and watch the cash flow in.
Super Bowl LV Picks
Kansas City Chiefs: +600
This may be the best odds Kansas City will be at all season so I am jumping on them now. I love them to repeat this season. We know how good they are... Next.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: +1050
TOM BRADY! As a Jets fan, It feels good waking up in the morning knowing that he is out of the AFC East. The Tompa Bay Buccaneers have massive expectations this year, and I’m all in. Aside from their explosive offense, their defense is going to determine if they can truly get over the hump. There is no doubt that this offense will win them games, but defense (allegedly) wins championships. I trust their defense, especially when it is run by sack leader Shaq Barrett. Fire the cannons on this bet!
Division Winners
New England Patriots to win the AFC East: +125
I shared this pick with The Fantasy Clock Tower back when Brady left New England and I’m sticking with it. Don’t worry Darnold, the Jets will get the Wild Card spot. Bill Belichick is the greatest coach of all time and if Cam Newton can return to SuperCam, this bet will make you some decent cash.
Green Bay Packers to win NFC North: +180
THE KING OF THE NORTH! This year seems different for the Packers. Tons of people are writing them off since drafting Jordan Love. If there's one things football fans should know, it's to never doubt Aaron Rodgers, so give me the Pack all day. Aaron Jones and Davante Adams will have massive seasons as Green Bay repeats as Kings of the North.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win NFC South: +155
See my Super bowl picks to explain my reasoning why I’m in on the Bucs this year. The hype is going to be real for these Brees and Brady battles. Bucs take the South in Week 17.
Arizona Cardinals win NFC West: +625
I am taking this pick strictly for value. The NFC West could arguably be the hardest division in football. All four teams' potential are sky high, so I feel anything could happen during the season. Bet on the boys in the desert this season.
Defensive Rookie of the Year
Baltimore Ravens LB Patrick Queen: +900
If anyone knows a thing or two about linebackers, it’s the Baltimore Ravens. An absolute beast at LSU, Queen is poised to anchor that defense for the next decade and change. He is terrific in zone coverage and he should have no problem covering a Tight End or Running Back. The Ravens are going to let him loose with his elite speed so expect a high sack total, and expect your back account to be BUZZIN'.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers S Antonie Winfield Jr.: +4000 (Value pick)
Winfield Jr is one of the most promising rookies that no one is talking about coming out of the draft. Winfield has drawn comparisons to Tyrann Mathieu, and rightfully so. He can be plugged all over the field like a Honey Badger or Jamal Adams type player. Coming off the edge, dropping back in coverage, or lining up in the slot are all a part of his arsenal. He started all four years at Minnesota and just earned the nod for starting safety for the Bucs this past week. This bet has major potential to cash in.
Offensive Rookie of the Year
Kansas City Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire: +365
CEH is an awesome player to watch. I believe that he is overhyped and drafted way too early in fantasy drafts, but that doesn’t mean I am thinking differently about his production this year. He is in the best possible position for success than any other rookie and it's not everyday you're compared to Brian Westbrook... by Andy Reid.
Denver Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy: +1250
Dude is a straight baller and might be the next Julio Jones. Jeudy became a star during his sophomore season at Alabama, exploding for 1300 yards and 14 TDs. The emergence of Courtland Sutton and addition of speed demon K.J. Hamler will allow Jeudy to have favorable matchups as a near-perfect route runner. I expect him to flirt with 1000 yards in Year One.
Most Valuable Player
Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray: +1850
You know we had to do it right? Murray can throw for up to 5000 yards this year with the amount of weapons he has, and not to mention what he can do with his legs. This pick can go south really quick but, if the Cardinals offense (that will be featuring DeAndre Hopkins) get hot, they can beat anybody. Arizona somehow landed tackle Josh Jones in the third round of the draft this year to help sure up that offensive line. We know how deadly Murray can be on the ground, but let's hope that the line holds strong this year.
Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers: +2250
This is straight robbery at this number. We’ve all seen what this baaaaaaaaad man is capable of. Don’t worry Mr. Rodgers, Jordan Love won’t be playing this year, but a non-MVP like season could put Rodgers future in question with a front office that seems pretty suspect. Let me just leave this GIF here as Stephen A. Smith and myself are tired of the Rodgers hate.
